Vegetable & Eggs Sign-up Information
Hearty Roots Community Farm is owned and operated by Ben Shute & Lindsey Lusher-Shute. They provide our members with vegetables (mandatory purchase), and optional shares of eggs.
A half share indicates you will pick up your share every other week during the CSA season for a total of 11 weeks.
Hearty Roots Community Farm accepts most major credit cards. You can choose between a one-time payment or a three installment automatic payment plan.
Shares are picked up at the Greenwood Heights CSA weekly distribution located at Slope Park, Brooklyn from 9-11 am on Saturdays from June 10 to October 4.

Dairy & Meat Sign-up Information – Sign-up NOT YET OPEN
General Cochran Dairy Farm is owned and operated by Holly & George Hammond. Their happy animals graze and root around in Amena, NY. They bring our CSA members delicious pastured pork, beef and veal shares.
John Kimberly and his family have owned and operated the 300 acre Kimberly Farm & Dairy in New Milford, Connecticut for sixty years. John grows the grasses and grains on which his pastured herd of 60 Ayershire cows feed. He is pleased to offer our members a range of pasturized, non-homogonized diary products this year, including: creamline milk, chocolate milk, yogurts, and yogurt drinks.
We are currently working with General Cochran Dairy to finalize the offerings for the 2018 season, so stay tuned!

Salmon Sign-up Information – Sign-up will begin in Late May!
Emily and Christopher own and operate Iliamna Fish Company. Every year they head to Alaska’s Bristol Bay to fish with their family, using traditional methods.
This share is offered as a one-time pick up which will be scheduled on the Greenwood Heights CSA weekly distribution located at Slope Park, Brooklyn from 9-11 am on a Saturday TBD in September.
Sign-up for Salmon Shares will open shortly. Keep your eyes peeled for an email from the core.
What do I do after I sign-up?
Please check your emailed receipts to ensure you signed up for everything you wanted, and that your pick-up schedule (A/B Week) is as you wish it to be.
It also will help you immensely to make sure you are receiving our emails as we will be sending you notices about our annual member meeting, as well as emails letting you know what to expect in your share every week. So, check your spam box, just in case.
We will email you the password to the member portal where you can sign up for your work shift, Every membership must have at least one person work one shift this year.
